Earlier this year the GCID management walked the City of Cape Town officials through the area and discussed potential maintenance and upgrade issues with them. Since then the City of Cape Town has made numerous improvements in the area including the surfacing of sidewalks, the upgrading of road surfaces, the installation of new bollards, the repainting of road markings and the changing of sharp road corners to accommodate larger vehicles. These upgrades are the result of positive engagements with each of the line departments of the City by the GCID management.
